My Top 15 Books of 2015

08:00

So, the year is coming to a close, and this been a really good reading year for me. I've probably read the most I have in my life, and I think most (all?) of my favourite books have been read in 2015. Probably because they change so often. So, without further ado, here's my favourite books that I have read (not necessarily published in) 2015 (yes, they are in order. I will never be the same after doing this):

Links take you to my review

11. The Half Bad Trilogy: #1 #2
6. The Mara Dyer Trilogy: #1 #2 #3
1. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock

Okay, okay, I cheated by adding series. Don't kill me!! It's just too hard to choose my precious babies... *strokes books*

I think I had a pretty good year of reading! So far (as of 23/12), I've read 90 books, but I'm hoping to read a few more before 2016 begins.

What have been your favourite books of 2015?

  1. I read the Shatter Me series a while back but it feels like forever ago! A reread is definitely in order. I read the first book of the Half Bad series and loved it , I need to get around to it before the next book is out! Carry On is on my list , I loved it so much. 90 books is amazing! Merry Christmas!

    1. I'd really like to re-read them too - I read the first in January, and it does feel like a long time ago. I'd highly recommend reading Half Wild - it might be even better than the first! I'm so glad you enjoyed Carry on, and thank-you! I'm now on 91, haha :)

I hope you have a great Christmas!

  2. SImon Vs was really surprisingly good since I don't read much contemp! I also liked Mara Dyer #1, would like to continue but there are so many fantastic releases in 2016 *indecision* I haven't read that many books this year ... not unless we count fanfiction XD

Thanks for commenting on The Devil Orders Takeout! :D

    1. Yeah, me too! It seems like everyone loves it, even if they don't read much contemporary haha. I'd highly recommend continuing with the series - they're really quick reads so I don't think it will take too long! My life story XD

No problem! Thanks for the comment back :)

  3. Great list! Because of your ARC review of Beautiful Broken Things, it is one of my most anticipated reads of next year!

  4. AHHH, such an amazing list, I see LOTS of my favorites on here! I loved Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and completely fell in love with I'll Give You The Sun. It was just so, so beautiful. Mara Dyer is one of my favorite books of all times, I'm so happy to hear that you liked it! :)
I'm currently reading Aristotle and Dante, and I really like it so far! :)

    1. I totally agree - the flowery writing wasn't for everyone, but I absolutely loved it. I'm so glad you found it as magical as I did! I hope you enjoy Ari and Dante! It's a little bit similar to I'll Give You the Sun, so I hope you like it just as much.

Thanks for the comment, Marie <3

  5. OMG I see Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock! I just borrowed a copy from a friend and she told me it was sad (which I suspect at this point). A lot of people seemed to love it; now I'm so excited to indulge myself in the book! Great books, Denise, and really glad you enjoyed them :)

    1. YOU REALLY DO!! IT'S AWESOME!! I hope you enjoy it (and that it doesn't upset you /too/ much) as much as I did. It does seem lie everyone loves it - I haven't met someone who didn't enjoy it haha :)

Thanks for the comment, Jillian ♥

  6. *High fives you because the Shatter Me series and Carry On both made my favorites list as well!* Only Ever Yours is one that I want to read so badly! I have heard amazing things, and while I haven't read The Handmaid's Tale, it sounds stunning. I have also heard stunning things about Beautiful Broken Things, but I might have to order it thought Book Depository because I don't think it will be available in the US.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  7. Glad that you had such a good reading year! I have only read one of these books, and that one is Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the Universe, which surprisingly I quite liked a lot too! I know a lot of the books you mentioned are on my TBR as well, so hopefully I can get to them and love them like you did as well ^.^
